Sarah D. Whitehead, A.R.N.P., is a nurse practitioner who works with surgical and nonsurgical vascular patients at the University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle.
Whitehead earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Washington. Her clinical interests include peripheral arterial disease; claudication, non-healing wounds; venous disease; lower extremity edema, including skin changes, venous ulcers, varicose vein, sclerotherapy; lymphedema; carotid stenosis, including screening and evaluation; deep venous thrombosis management; superficial venous thrombosis; and effort thrombosis of upper extremity.
Whitehead focuses on providing her patients with the education and information they need to make sound health care decisions. She also values her patients’ time, so she strives to run an efficient and organized clinic; and most importantly, she treats every patient as if they are her own family members.
