Global health: anesthetic and perioperative care. Ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia (advanced techniques for controlling pain in the postoperative period, especially for orthopedic procedures).
He studies systems design to improve health-care delivery, access, efficiency, and quality to the low-income populations of the world. Part of this study has been to define the resident physician level of interest (the incoming generation of health-care providers) in the delivery of care and education in low-middle-income countries.
