Patient Care Philosophy
I enjoy taking care of patients at particular risk of having perioperative complications from cardiovascular disease. At UWMC we treat some of the sickest cardiovascular patients in the region and I am dedicated to providing outstanding comprehensive perioperative care to all of them.
Being involved in intraoperative as well as postoperative care gives me a tremendous opportunity to assess and potentially improve patient care protocols and pathways.
As a physician I am concerned about first and foremost is being the patient's advocate and doing the right thing. In our patient population and era of advanced therapies, this often is a challenging thing to do. I have a particular interest in risk stratification and assessment of feasibility from a medical, technological and ethical standpoint.
