Michael Sobel, M.D., is a vascular surgeon at the Eastside Specialty Center and Harborview Medical Center.
He is also a UW professor of Surgery at the Veterans Administration Puget Sound Healthcare System.
Dr. Sobel strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Sobel earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He was a surgical resident at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and at Guys Hospital in London. He was also a research fellow at Harvard University and a fellow in peripheral vascular surgery at New York University. He is board-certified in Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Sobel's clinical interests include disorders of the veins and arteries. His research in inflammation and vascular healing are funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs and by the National Institutes of Health.
