Patient Care Philosophy

His goal is to prevent blindness caused by glaucoma.

Personal Interests

Playing piano, cooking and outdoor activities, including biking and hiking.

Clinical Interests

All types of glaucoma, including uveitic glaucoma and traumatic glaucoma.

Research Interests

Basic science research into glaucoma as a neurodegenerative disease, as well as imaging of the aqueous outflow pathway.

Dr. Slabaugh is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the University of Washington. A UW School of Medicine graduate, he also completed his residency in ophthalmology at UW. He completed a glaucoma fellowship at the University of British Columbia.

He is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. He has a particular interest in complicated glaucoma and cataract surgery, as well as management of uveitic glaucoma.
