Bio

Marc D. Avery, M.D., is clinical professor and director of the Psychiatric Consultation and Telepsychiatry Program within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle. Dr. Avery has over 20 years of experience developing and overseeing integrated behavioral health services, focusing on community mental health settings. He joined UW Medicine in 2012 to intensify his focus on collaborative models of care.

Dr. Avery earned his medical degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Avery’s research interests focus on health services, such as integrated/collaborative care and telepsychiatry.
