Patient Care Philosophy
I see my role as a partner in my patients' care. I see patients as unique individuals who are the rich interplay between biology, psychology and life experiences, not as a collection of medical diagnoses. I especially like patients who are curious and ask questions, who take an active role in medical decision making, who realize that more is not always better. Relationships are important to me--I am honored to have patients I've known for 30 years, and feel lucky we've been able to journey together.
I am a bike commuter. I read avidly, hike, ski, snowboard, travel, and love to try new recipes.
