Patient Care Philosophy

Preventing pain during and after surgery is the Holy Grail for anesthesiologists. Regional anesthesia provides a safe, certain and satisfying operating room experience for you - the patient, your surgeon and your anesthesiologist. The practice at Harborview Medical Center has evolved from a small handful of patients receiving adequate pain relief with regional anesthesia to several thousand being treated annually by our group.

Teaching tomorrow's anesthesiologists is a core function of this group and the rapid progress in technology has made our specialty safer and better at controlling the pain associated with traumatic injury and surgery.
