Laura Katers, PA-C, is a board certified physician assistant at UW Medicine and a UW teaching associate of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Katers is an inpatient provider working with both acute and chronic pain patients. Her patients are some of the strongest people she has ever met. Her goal as a pain specialist is to provide compassionate care to patients, partner with them and their families to develop an individualized treatment plan to reduce or relieve pain with the intention of increasing patient function so they can get back to their lives and loved ones.

Katers received her medical education at the UW. Her clinical and research interests include clinical work in complex chronic pain, cancer pain, palliative medicine, addiction medicine and meditation and mindfulness in chronic pain management.
