Dr. Volkman is a board eligible internal medicine physician who sees patients at the UW Neighborhood Shoreline Clinic.
Patient Care Philosophy
Dr. Volkman believes that health is a "state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease" (World Health Organization, 1948). As a primary care provider, Dr. Volkman feels it is her role to understand each patient as an individual and provide them with a safe and open space to discuss their concerns. Her goal is to partner with each patient to work towards their individual health goals in all dimensions of life.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I also like to hike, run, practice yoga, knit and cook.
