Karen L. Bar-Joseph, M.D. attended Brown University for undergraduate work and the University of Washington for medical school. She then stayed and did her residency training at the University of Washington in obstetrics and gynecology. She became a UW assistant professor in 2012. Dr. Bar-Joseph is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Bar-Joseph's clinical interests include comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care including contraception and family planning, prenatal care, infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, abnormal bleeding, cervical dysplasia, menopause and gynecologic care of women with breast cancer.
Dr. Bar-Joseph loves caring for women throughout their reproductive life cycle, from adolescence through pregnancy, menopause and beyond. She believes that her role is to provide patients with information and guidance so they can make their own healthcare decisions.
