Jennifer Carrol is a certified physician assistant and certified athletic trainer working in sports medicine and sports cardiology. She received her undergraduate degree in sports medicine form the University of Evansville in 1999, then went on to practice as an athletic trainer for the next 13 years in the Bellevue School District and Monroe School District. While in the Monroe School district, she also taught sports medicine for high school students. Upon deciding to return to clinical patient care, Jennifer attended physician assistant school at Anne Arundel Community College in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated with a certificate in physician assistant studies and Master of Medical Science from Saint Francis University in 2014.

Jennifer joined the University of Washington as a lecturer with MEDEX Northwest specializing in clinical practice in sports medicine and sports cardiology. Her clinical interests include sports cardiology (specifically prevention of sudden cardiac death in young athletes), musculoskeletal medicine, and concussion management. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Washington Academy of Physician Assistants (WAPA). Jennifer also works as a member of the USA Diving medical staff and an active volunteer provider with Nick of Time Foundation.

Patient Care Philosophy

I like to work together with my patients to return them to the activities and sports that they enjoy. I also enjoy working with patients to develop a healthy and active lifestyle for their physical and mental well-being.

Personal Interests

Outside of work Jennifer enjoys water skiing, hiking, exercise and baking.

Clinical Interests

Non-operative musculoskeletal and sports medicine with particular interest in sports cardiology and concussion management.
