Dr. Ivan Molton is a clinical psychologist and UW assistant professor with the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Patient Care Philosophy
I believe that the vast majority of work in recovery lies with the patient, and that my role is to help patients identify personal strengths and barriers to performing their own care.
As a rehabilitation psychologist, I work primarily with individuals recovering from amputation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neurological disease. I also specialize in chronic pain management.
Dr. Molton's research interests lie in chronic pain, clinical geropsychology, and psychoneuroimmunology.
