About Ivan K. Lesnik
Ivan Lesnik, M.D., is a board certified physician and chief of Pain Services at Harborview and a UW associate professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Lesnik strives to provide comprehensive high quality care to help patients regain their normal life activities that have been lost due to pain, and preventing pain from becoming a disabling disease.
Dr. Lesnik earned his M.D. from the University of Arizona. He served as vice chairmen and education director of Anesthesiology at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences as well as acting chairmen of the Department of Anesthesiology at National Naval Medical Center during the Iraq and Afghanistan war. As specialty leader to the Navy Surgeon General, he provided worldwide management of anesthesiology and pain management services for the Navy and Marine Corps during the height of the conflict. He developed and served as director of Navy Medicine’s first operationalized Functional Restoration Pain Program.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Lesnik enjoys being outdoors, biking, climbing, bee keeping and horticulture.
