Dr. Bernier is an assistant professor in surgery and specializes in colorectal surgery. She recently completed her Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl.

Dr. Bernier specializes in all diseases of the colon & rectum with particular interest in minimally invasive approaches and robotic surgery. She has additional training and certifications in laparoscopic colectomy, robotic surgery, trans-anal minimally invasive surgery, and sacral nerve stimulator insertion.

Dr. Bernier is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of both the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons. I am thrilled to be a part of the exceptional team at the University of Washington and our affiliate sites. I especially enjoy working with our multidisciplinary teams to cater each treatment plan to our individual patients. It is so important to put our patients in the center of their care, so they can be educated about their disease process and take an active role. Every day and with every patient, I try to embody our “Patients are First” philosophy.
