Greta V. Bernier, M.D., is an assistant professor in surgery. She specializes in colorectal diseases, colorectal surgery, minimally invasive approaches and robotic surgery.
Dr. Bernier completed her medical degree and general surgery residency at the UW School of Medicine in Seattle. She completed a Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and training and certifications in laparoscopic colectomy, robotic surgery, trans-anal minimally invasive surgery and sacral nerve stimulator insertion. Dr. Bernier is board-certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery, and member of the American College of Surgeons and American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
Her clinical interests include enhanced recovery pathways for post-operative care, advancement of minimally invasive and robotic surgery and improvement of resident and trainee education. Her research interests include cancer genetics and utilization and access to laparoscopic colorectal surgery.
Dr. Bernier and her family love living in the Pacific Northwest, where they can enjoy camping, skiing, swimming and spending time with family and friends.
