Bio

Dr. Baird is the medical director of Northwest Hospital's Clinical Laboratory, the director of Clinical Chemistry at Harborview Medical Center, the laboratory director of Airlift Northwest, and an assistant professor in the UW Department of Laboratory Medicine. He is also the director of the UW Clinical Chemistry Postdoctoral Fellowship program.

Dr. Baird earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Stanford University, and his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. He first came to UW as an anatomic and clinical pathology resident, and he stayed on as faculty in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Pathology.

Dr. Baird is board-certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and clinical chemistry.
