Dr. Godfrey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Division of Family Planning. Dr. Godfrey specializes in family planning and outpatient women's health care. She completed her medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1997 and her residency at West Suburban Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Oak Park, Illinois. She then completed a fellowship in Family Planning and Master's of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree at the University of Rochester in Rochester New York in 2003. She is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. Godfrey comes to the University of Washington with 6 years experience as an academic family physician in Chicago, Illinois. She also served as a Family Planning Epidemiology and Public Health Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Reproductive Health. During her tenure at CDC, Dr. Godfrey provided technical assistance for national evidence-based contraceptive guidance for health care providers, and served as the clinical expert for Title X family planning national guidance for women's and men's reproductive health clinical services.

Currently, Dr. Godfrey shares her clinical expertise at two clinical sites: UWNC Northgate Family Medicine Clinic and the UW Women's Health Care Clinic (WHCC) at Roosevelt. She has an interest in comprehensive family planning, well women care and basic men's sexual health services.
