Patient Care Philosophy

As one of the UW School of Medicine's Columbia River College teachers, I am dedicated to mentoring students and helping them reach their full potential in the areas of communication, physical diagnosis skills, clinical reasoning,and professional behavior.

Personal Interests

In 2014 I retired from most aspects of clinical practice to focus on the training and mentoring of medical students.

Clinical Interests

Teaching of doctor/patient communications, physical diagnosis, professionalism and clinical reasoning skills.

Research Interests

Educational methods for training residents and medical students; teaching of communication skills; evaluation; testing clinical skills.
