About David Chou
David Chou, M.D., M.S., F.C.A.P., is a board certified physician, a UW professor of Laboratory Medicine and an adjunct professor of Biomedical and Health Informatics.
Dr. Chou’s goal is to optimize the use of information systems and technology in a cost effective and safe manner for servicing patients and physicians. He is particularly excited about the expanding use of technology for patient care and in the education of a new generation of students.
Dr. Chou earned his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is board certified in Clinical Pathology and is a member of numerous professional societies. His clinical and research interests include primary care, underserved populations, quality improvement, use of information systems, automation for patient care and technology impacts on people and institutional culture.
Personal Interests
In his free time Dr. Chou is interested in home repair, photography and restoring old radios and televisions.
