Patient Care Philosophy

Every patient deserves high-quality care for their injuries, regardless of their circumstances. An experienced and efficient multidisciplinary team is essential for excellent patient care.

Personal Interests

Interests outside medicine include spending time with family and friends, music, piano playing, classic and contemporary literature and cooking.

Clinical Interests

She treats traumatic injuries to the musculoskeletal system, with particular interest in patients with multiple traumas, periarticular injuries of the lower and upper extremity and complex injuries of the elbow.

Research Interests

Treatment methods and techniques to improve care for patients with multiple traumas and traumatic injuries of both the lower and upper extremity. The effects of injury on the biomechanics extremities, particularly around the elbow.

Dr. Beingessner, associate professor of orthopedics and sports medicine, specializes in treating trauma.

She is board certified in both the United States and Canada. She earned bachelor's degrees in mathematics and science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and then her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada where she also completed her orthopedic residency. She did a fellowship in upper extremity orthopedics and a master's degree in medical biophysics before coming to the UW for an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Harborview Medical Center.
