Bio

Daphne Michelle Beingessner, M.D., M.Sc., F.R.C.S.C., is an associate professor of orthopedics and sports medicine, specializing in treating trauma. She is board-certified in the United States and Canada.

Dr. Beingessner earned her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, where she also completed her orthopedic residency. She did a fellowship in upper extremity orthopedics and earned a master's degree in medical biophysics before completing an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Harborview Medical Center.

Her clinical interests include traumatic injuries to the musculoskeletal system, particularly patients with multiple traumas, periarticular injuries of the lower and upper extremity and complex injuries of the elbow. Her research interests include treatments to improve care for patients with multiple traumas, traumatic injuries of the lower and upper extremity and the effects of injury on the biomechanics extremities, particularly around the elbow.

Personal Interests

Dr. Beingessner's interests outside of medicine include spending time with family and friends, reading classic and contemporary literature, listening to music, playing piano and cooking.
