About Agnes I. Hunyady

Agnes Hunyady, M.D., is a board certified pediatric anesthesiologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and a UW assistant professor of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. She is the lead anesthesiologist for Head and Neck, Dental and Ophthalmology surgeries and a member of the Transplant Anesthesia Group.

Dr. Hunyady strives to provide safe anesthetic care for infants and children undergoing complex surgeries, and to work with families and care teams to find a way to complete necessary procedures with the least amount of risk to patient safety and with the least disruption of the care plan and family life.

Dr. Hunyady earned her M.D. at Semmelweis University of Medicine in Hungary. She is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology and by the Hungarian Board of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. Her academic interests surround the advancement of safety of pediatric airway management through education and research.

In her free time Dr. Hunyady enjoys traveling, learning foreign languages and balancing motherhood with individual professional development.
