Patient Care Philosophy

To provide the highest possible quality of diagnostic cardiac imaging studies.

Gardening, woodworking and traveling.

Clinical Interests

Myocardial perfusion and function imaging; imaging cardiac and vascular inflammation; and cardiac sympathetic dysfunction imaging in heart failure and arrhythmias.

Research Interests

Single photo emission computed tomography (SPECT) and position emission tomography (PET) of myocardial blood flow and metabolism for diagnosis and management of heart and vascular diseases; SPECT and PET imaging of pre- and post-synaptic sympathetic function in sudden cardiac death survivors, in heart failure, and in the normal aging process; development of new radiotracers; PET and PET/CT instrumentation; and development of new methods for image quantification of pathophysiologic processes.
