Bio

Emily Albrecht is a Teaching Associate in the Department of Radiology primarily based at Harborview Medical Center. Emily has been a faculty member in the Department of Radiology since 2000. Currently she is practicing in Interventional Radiology but is also trained in Emergency Radiology, Body Radiology procedures and pharmacological cardiac stress testing in Nuclear Medicine. Emily is on the MQIC committee at Harborview Medical Center and oversees the Quality Assurance program for Harborview Radiology. In addition to general diagnostic radiology skills Emily performs many different procedures including catheter/port placements, gastrostomy tubes, drains, sinograms, limited ultrasounds, thoracentesis, paracentesis, PICC lines and cardiac stress testing.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles and her Physician Assistant training at Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine.

While on faculty at UWMC and Harborview Medical Center Emily’s primary interests have been developing and expanding the use of mid-level providers in radiology and implementing a robust QA/QI program.

My mission is to make every patient as comfortable as possible. I consider it a privilege to care for my patients and I always treat them the way I would expect my own family members to be treated.
