The department of Rehabilitation Medicine focuses on maximizing your abilities to live a full, satisfying life by helping you to manage your disability in the most effective ways.
Our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, rehabilitation (vocational) counselors and other rehabilitation specialists, offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services as needed, to develop realistic and meaningful goals that relate to your needs and desires. The medical center has on-site resources to help achieve your goals. These include occupational and physical therapy, speech pathology, rehabilitation (vocational) counseling, prosthetics and orthotics (experts in making braces and functional artificial limbs), drivers training and evaluation of driving ability, rehabilitation psychology, and psychometric testing.
