About this Clinic
The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, located within the Surgical Specialties Center at UW Medical Center, focuses on reconstructing form and function following ablative cancer surgery. We also perform reconstruction of deformities resulting from trauma, or from congenital causes. The clinic offers the full spectrum of reconstructive as well as cosmetic plastic surgery. As an advanced academic center, we are able to provide you with state-of-the-art technology combined with the latest medical treatments to make sure you receive the very best care.
Within the focus of oncology our clinic is also a center of excellence for breast reconstruction, specializing in caring for breast cancer patients following mastectomy to restore lost form. We are one of the few centers in the country that routinely perform the deep inferior epigastric perforator flap (DIEP) for breast reconstruction, which uses your own tissues while preserving your abdominal muscles. In the Head and Neck we offer expertise in the area of facial re-animation and other procedures for treating facial paralysis. We are one of the very few centers in the country to offer this service.
Our clinic also offers the full spectrum of cosmetic surgery procedures, including facelifts, rhinoplasty, liposuction, eyelid surgery, and breast augmentation.
As a patient of the Plastic Surgery Clinic, your personal doctor is a faculty physician with many years of experience performing surgical procedures like the one you are having.
