At the Gastroenterology Clinic, we specialize in the care of diseases of the digestive tract and liver. The clinic diagnoses and manages disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, colon, anus, liver, pancreas and biliary tract, and educates patients about their diseases.
The G.I. Endoscopy Clinic diagnoses and treats patients with gastrointestinal (G.I.) disorders. Our patients include those with pre-cancer or cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, G.I. bleeding disorders, strictures, or obstructions of the G.I. tract, and stones or strictures within the common bile duct.
Treatments and procedures performed include:
- Upper endoscopy colonoscopy
- Percutaneous endoscopic
- Gastrostomy tube placement
- Small bowel biopsy
- Laser ablation of tumors in the gastrointestinal tract
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- Esophageal stricture dilatation
- Enteroscopy removal of colon polyps
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography
- Treatment of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Our staff is made up of experienced faculty physicians and nurses specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy. They work closely with nutritionists and physicians from other specialties to provide comprehensive and collaborative care. Our clinic has four fully-equipped procedure rooms and two exam rooms to ensure your safety and comfort throughout your care. We encourage family members to stay with patients who are recovering from procedures in our newly remodeled patient observation area.
