A Record Reunion Weekend!
The 2013 Reunion Weekend saw a record number of attendees: 450 people representing 29 classes and hailing from 25 states. Fifteen events were held around Seattle, including the honor cord ceremony, which recognized alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago.
The festivities continued Friday evening with more than 375 people attending individual class celebrations. On Saturday, more than 100 people came to UW Medicine at South Lake Union to hear about the future of vision sciences from Russell Van Gelder, M.D., Ph.D., the chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and director of the UW Medicine Eye Institute. Guests also enjoyed lunch and a tour of the new research complex. The weekend concluded with an exciting all-school reception atop the Space Needle, where the alumni award winners were honored.
