Advanced medical training can be an intense experience, and coping with transitional issues, time management and the demands of patients, co-workers and families can be stressful and difficult. Having an opportunity to talk over specific concerns can help restore and improve the quality of life, from both an educational and personal standpoint.
An experienced licensed counselor is available to assist residents in developing strategies to cope with the stress of residency. Support and counseling services are available for residents and fellows in training at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
